Job Duties:
- To ensure quality work
- Keep a safe, clean, and organized job site
- Wear all safety gear as required
- Paint, drywall, board, tape, and minor repairs
- Ability to choose the right paint or finish for the surface to be covered, considering durability, ease of handling, method of application and the customer’s wishes
- Prepare surfaces to be covered so paint will adhere properly, requiring the removal of the old coat by stripping, sanding, or wire brushing
- Wash walls and trim to remove dirt and grease, fill nail holes and cracks, sandpaper rough spots and brush off dust
- Measure and cut drywall pieces around obstacles; glue, nail, or screw the wallboard panels to the wood or metal framework as required; tape, fill joints and imperfections with joint compound; sand treated areas where needed after each compound coat to smooth
- Be available for rotational on-call shifts, providing after-hours emergency services labour when required
- Work or be available to work out of town when applicable
- Train new staff
- Keep vehicles clean, organized and inform management of any replacement of items or vehicle repairs required
- Responsible for ensuring all documentation associated with assigned tasks is filled out accurately, completely and turned in for proper invoicing
- Phone clients on arrival times and keep them aware of projected job timelines, (refrain from discussing claim coverage or items not related to your trade with the customer)
- Keep Project Manager informed on job production, timelines, and client concerns
- Clean and neat attire

Additional Info:
Must have a valid BC Driver’s license, a vehicle in good working order and be able to provide a driver’s abstract. Must be able to pass a criminal background check. Must participate in an on-call rotation in addition to full time hours.
